We look after ships as if they were our own.

Maru Maritime is a maritime asset management company. Our main business is commercial management and chartering: finding the right work for ships, running each voyage well and protecting their value for the people who own them.

Shipping is a simple business that is hard to do well.

A ship makes money when it is working, at a fair rate, for a charterer who pays, without wasting fuel or days. The rest is detail, but the detail is where owners win or lose.

That detail is what we take care of. We started Maru Maritime to give owners and investors a commercial manager who is careful with their money, close to the market and honest about how their ships are doing.

What we hold ourselves to

Treat every ship as an investment

Someone's capital is tied up in that hull. We look after its condition, its value and its reputation as carefully as its earnings.

Run a tight operation

Good voyages are planned properly, cost what they should and get paid on time. Small things, done every day, add up.

Think in years, not fixtures

Freight markets move in cycles. We make decisions with the owner's whole holding period in mind, not just the next charter.

From purchase to sale.

Owners can hand us a single job or the whole lifecycle. Either way, it is one team, so nothing gets lost between hand-offs.
